Southern Flounder

Action-packed day from the get-go! Frank and their crew joined us for a fall evening adventure on Galveston Bay. We headed out around late evening under clear conditions throughout the day, which set us up perfectly for our night fishing session. The water conditions were just right for what we had planned with Shallow Encounters Flounder Gigging Charter's 4 Hour Night Flounder Gigging Trip in Galveston Bay.

Once the stage was set, we worked the flats using a mix of trolling, bottom fishing, and casting with lures to target our Southern Flounder. Galveston Bay is prime territory for this kind of fishing because the shallow waters and structure provide perfect habitat for flounder to ambush prey. We had success with our approach, and I reckon the crew got a real taste of what makes this fishery so productive. Y'all might could say we hammered down on some good fish, and the tug is the drug kept everyone engaged throughout the night.

The combination of techniques really paid off as we moved through different areas of the bay. Bottom fishing allowed us to work the deeper pockets while casting lures helped us cover the shallower flats where flounder like to lay up. We wrapped up the trip with great memories and some fine catches that made the whole crew smile!

If you're fixin' to experience some of the best flounder fishing Texas has to offer, Galveston Bay delivers year-round action. Our Shallow Encounters Flounder Gigging Charter specializes in these productive waters, and our 4 Hour Night Flounder Gigging Trip gives anglers plenty of time to work different techniques and areas. Whether you're new to flounder fishing or a seasoned angler, we'll put you on fish using proven methods like trolling the channels, bottom fishing the structure, and casting lures along the flats. Galveston Bay's diverse habitat and abundant baitfish make it one of the most consistent flounder destinations on the Gulf Coast. Book your Galveston Flounder Gigging Charter with us and discover why this big ol' bay produces some of the finest Southern Flounder fishing around. We'll provide all the gear and local knowledge you need for a successful trip on these productive waters.
